Date Orange Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs, beaten
4 c. flour, divided
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
2 Tbsp orange peel
2 c dates, chopped
2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs to butter and sugar.
Mix 3 1/2 cup flour with soda; add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Stir in orange rind.
Coat dates and nuts with reserved
1/2
cup flour and fold into cake batter.
Bake in greased
and floured 10 inch tube or bundt pan at 275\u00b0 for 2 hours.
