Zucchini Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 c. unpeeled and grated zucchini
16 oz. chocolate chips
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Sift together flour, cocoa, soda and salt; set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, oil and sugar. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition. Stir in zucchini. Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and walnuts. Bake at 325\u00b0 for 55 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool before frosting.
