Beef Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
    1 c. onion, chopped
    4 qt. tomatoes, chopped
    12 oz. can tomato paste
    6 c. mixed vegetables
    1/2 c. green pepper, diced
    2 1/2 c. potatoes, diced
    6 c. water
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    salt to taste
    bay leaf (optional)
    onion salt (optional)
    cumin (optional)
    tarragon (optional)
Preparation
    In large kettle, cook beef and onion.
    Add water, vegetables and potatoes.
    Cook to soften vegetables.
    Add tomatoes and paste. Put in desired seasonings.
    Simmer until all vegetables are done.
