Fresh Peach Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 pt. fresh peaches (ripe and sliced thin)
    1 pie shell
Preparation
    Cook first 4 ingredients to make syrup.
    Add 3 tablespoons peach jello to hot syrup to dissolve.
    Cool syrup.
    Arrange peaches in pie shell.
    Pour over cooled syrup.
    Cover with whipped topping.
