Savory Meat Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. twice ground beef
    1 c. soft bread crumbs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 to 3 Tbsp. fat
    1 c. cold water
    3 Tbsp. flour
Preparation
    Combine beef and next 6 ingredients.
    Form into 1-inch balls. Brown well in fat in skillet and remove.
    Mix water with flour. Stir into drippings.
    Cook, stirring, until thick.
    Add meat. Cook covered for 30 minutes.
    If desired, serve on rice.
    Makes 4 servings.
