Cherry Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. quick cooking oats
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 1/2 c. melted butter
Preparation
    Work mixture into crumbs with clean hands.
    Reserve 1 1/2 cups for topping.
    Press remaining crumbs into bottom of 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
    Spoon over hot crust 1 can of cherry pie filling.
    Top with reserved crumbs.
    Return to oven and bake 30 to 35 minutes.
