Corn Meal Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. pork drippings
    1 c. corn meal
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Add drippings to corn meal and stir in water to make stiff dough.
    Pat into dumplings about 2-inches long and 1/2-inch thick and place on boiling soup or stew.
    Cover and cook slowly for 10 minutes.
    Turn and cook until firm; about 10 minutes more.
