Polish Butter Cookies(Makes 3 To 4 Dozen) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    red raspberry preserves with seeds
    1/2 lb. softened butter (2 sticks)
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 egg yolk
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Beat in egg yolk, vanilla and flour until well blended.
    Take enough dough to roll into a little ball. Make your thumbprint in the center of each ball.
    Fill thumbprint with preserves.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
