Saga'S Recipe - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 lb. short beef ribs
    4 Tbsp. bacon fat
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 onion, quartered
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. mustard
    1 Tbsp. flour
    2 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 bay leaves
    2 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Brown ribs in bacon fat on all sides.
    Drain off fat.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer 2 hours, covered, until tender. Thicken sauce with flour.
