Lentil Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. dry lentils
    3 1/2 c. chicken broth
    1 (14 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 c. peeled, chopped potato
    1/2 c. peeled, chopped carrot
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. parsley
    1 Tbsp. dried basil
    1 clove garlic, minced
Preparation
    Rinse and drain lentils; in large saucepan, combine all ingredients.
    Bring to boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer 45 to 50 minutes.
    Contains 2 grams fat, 0 mg cholesterol.
