Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, chopped
1/2 c. flaked coconut
dash of salt
1 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. green decorator frosting
1/4 c. oleo
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. chopped nuts
2 jars red sugar
Preparation

In skillet, combine dates, coconut, sugar, oleo, egg and salt. Cook, stirring over medium heat, until mixture thickens and bubbles (5 to 10 minutes).
Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies, nuts and vanilla.
Cool 10 minutes; form into balls. Keep fingers moist.
