Scalloped Sweet Potatoes And Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium size sweet potatoes
    2 c. sliced apples
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. ground mace
Preparation
    Cook sweet potatoes until just tender.
    Peel and cut into crosswise slices.
    Butter a 2-quart casserole.
    Arrange half sweet potatoes in bottom, then 1/2 of the apple slices.
    Sprinkle with half the mixture of salt, sugar and mace.
    Dot with 2 tablespoons butter.
    Repeat.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 50 minutes.
