Mildred Debendarfer'S 1-2-3-4 Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    4 eggs
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    flavoring
    layer of brown sugar
    layer of sour cream or buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until very light.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Alternate milk and flour with baking powder.
    Pour cake in pan, then add brown sugar and add sour cream or buttermilk.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
