Pesto(For Use On Pasta, In Salads Or In Soups) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. chopped fresh basil*
2 tsp. finely mixed garlic
1 Tbsp. butter, softened
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. chopped raw spinach leaves
1/2 c. Parmesan or Romano cheese
1/2 c. olive oil
1/8 tsp. freshly ground pepper
Preparation

Mash the basil, spinach and garlic into a smooth paste.
Stir in, slowly, the cheese and softened butter.
Add the olive oil, little by little.
(We usually don't use a full 1/2 cup.)
Season with salt and black pepper.
This can be done in a blender, but mix all ingredients together before blending.
