Italian Shell Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. (8 oz.) medium shells (uncooked)
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 c. chopped onion (optional)
    1 c. tomato sauce
    1 tsp. each: garlic salt and oregano
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 c. (16 oz.) Ricotta cheese
    2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella
    1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in large skillet.
    Add onion and saute until tender.
    Pour off excess fat.
    Stir in tomato sauce, garlic salt, oregano and pepper; simmer.
    While this simmers, cook medium shells according to package; drain well.
    Combine Ricotta, 1 1/2 cups Mozzarella and chopped parsley; mix well.
    Combine shells with meat sauce.
    Place 1/2 of the mixture into a buttered pan. Spread cheese filling evenly over shells.
    Do again with shells and meat mixture; spread cheese mixture.
    Sprinkle Mozzarella. Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
    Remove cover and bake 5 minutes longer.
