Cranberry Jello Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. cherry Jell-O
    2 c. boiling water
    2 large red apples
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. whole cranberry sauce
    1 (8 oz.) tub Cool Whip
    1 (8 oz.) bar cream cheese
    1 (15 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    In a medium bowl, dissolve the Jell-O in boiling water.
    Allow to cool.
    Peel and shred the apples.
    Add to Jell-O along with pecans and cranberry sauce. Pour into a 9 x 13-inch glass pan. Refrigerate until firm.
    Blend together Cool Whip, cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
    Add vanilla and pineapple. Spread evenly over Jell-O mixture. Refrigerate overnight.
