Grated Sweet Potato Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 cups sweet potatoes (peeled and grated)
    8 cups sweet milk
    2 sticks soft butter or margarine
    2 1/2 cups sugar
    4 eggs (slightly beaten)
    1 1/2 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add eggs. Add sweet milk and vanilla. Pour over grated sweet potatoes.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Pour into large baking dish.
    Bake in hot oven about 450 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring about every 10 minutes.
    Lower the temperature to 400 degrees and continue
    baking, stirring occasionally, for another thirty minutes, or until thick.
    Mixture will rise during early baking and will bubble, then it will cook down.
    This will begin to brown along edges and across top.
