Dave'S Favorite Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 potatoes, cut bite-size
    4 Tbsp. Watkins chicken soup base
    1 tsp. chives
    1 bay leaf (if desired)
    pepper to taste
    2 carrots, sliced
    6 c. water
    1/3 c. margarine
    2 chopped onions
    1 stalk celery
    1 (10 oz.) can evaporated milk
Preparation
    Put all ingredients into large pot.
    Heat until boiling, stirring occasionally.
    Simmer until vegetables are soft.
