Pear Relish - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. peeled and chopped pears
3 c. cider vinegar
3 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. canning salt
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. allspice
4 c. chopped onion
15 large sweet green peppers, seeded (5 c.), chopped
Preparation

Combine vinegar, sugar, salt and celery seed in a 5-quart kettle. Bring to a boil. Add pears, onion and peppers.
Bring to a boil. Simmer, uncovered, 40 minutes.
Ladle into jars and seal.
