Tea Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. Crisco
    pinch of salt
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 c. sweet milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Sift all dry ingredients together.
    Cream sugar and shortening together until fluffy.
    Beat eggs and add to sugar and shortening. Mix together well.
    Add dry ingredients and milk alternately, beating thoroughly after each addition.
    Take small amounts of cookie dough and place on floured pastry board.
    Roll to 1/4-inch thickness and use cookie cutters to cut out.
    Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Cookie should be set, but not brown to be done.
    Great for Christmas time to decorate.
    Makes 4 dozen.
