Van'S Cheese Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. melted butter
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. lemon rind
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 lb. cream cheese
    3 eggs, separated
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 c. sour cream
Preparation
    Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter and 1/4 cup sugar. Blend ingredients well.
    Press into greased spring-form pan. Bake for 8 minutes. Cool.
    Combine cornstarch, 1/4 cup sugar and pineapple. Cook over medium heat, stirring briskly, until mixture is clear and thickened.
    Cool.
    Spread pineapple mixture over crust.
    Beat cream cheese, egg yolks, 3/4 cup sugar, vanilla and lemon juice in a blender until smooth.
    Beat 1 1/2 cups sour cream into cheese mixture until smooth and well blended. Beat egg whites and add salt until stiff peaks form. Fold egg whites carefully into cheese mixture. Do not beat, but blend well.
    Pour carefully on top of pineapple mixture.
    Make sure pan is securely locked.
    Place in heated oven (300\u00b0) and bake 1 1/2 hours or until set and brown. Turn off heat; open oven door.
    Let cool in oven 1/2 hour.
    Remove from oven.
    Cool thoroughly.
    Before serving, spoon remaining sour cream over cake and garnish with lemon rind.
