Chess Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 lb. light brown sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Heat butter and sugar over low heat.
    Add other ingredients in order given.
    Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes in a 300\u00b0 oven.
    Cut into squares.
