Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
1 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 c. margarine
1 c. cooking oil
2 well beaten eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
5 1/2 c. flour
Preparation

Cream sugar with margarine until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla.
Stir in the oil.
Add the sifted dry ingredients; blend well.
Refrigerate until chilled thoroughly.
Form into balls.
Place on cookie sheet; flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until lightly browned.
