Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 qt. popped corn
    1/2 c. white corn syrup
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Put in large pan.
    Boil sugar, water and corn syrup without stirring, until it cracks when tried in cold water (260\u00b0).
    Add vinegar, salt and vanilla.
    Boil until mixture reaches 264\u00b0 or it spins a thread.
    Pour slowly over corn, turning with a spoon to coat each kernel.
    Working quickly with greased hands, form into balls.
    Let stand until brittle.
