Lemon Sponge Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

9 eggs, separated
rind and juice of 3 lemons or bottled juice to make 1 c.
3 c. sugar
1 c. flour
3/8 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. melted butter
3 3/4 c. milk (do not heat milk)
Preparation

Beat egg yolks; add lemon juice and rind.
Mix sugar, flour and salt to lemon mixture.
Stir in butter, then milk.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes, then at 300\u00b0 for 20 minutes or until filling is firm.
