Jane'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. unroasted peanuts
    1/2 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    2 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook syrup, water and sugar to hard ball stage (250\u00b0 to 265\u00b0). Add peanuts and continue to cook, stirring occasionally until mixture is light brown in color (302\u00b0).
    Stir in butter, soda and salt.
    Pour on greased cookie sheet while still foaming.
    Cool slightly and stretch to desired thinness and break into pieces.
