Japanese Fruitcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped raisins
1 c. chopped nutmeats
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Sift dry ingredients together and combine the two mixtures.
Flour the raisins and nutmeats and add to mixture.
Pour into layer pans and bake in slow oven at 300\u00b0 for about 1 hour.
