Sausage Twirls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/3 c. Crisco
    2/3 c. milk
    1 lb. sausage
Preparation
    Combine dry ingredients.
    Cut in Crisco until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Stir in milk.
    Turn dough on floured surface. Knead 1 or 2 times.
    Lightly roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness, 17 1/2-inches long and 8 inches wide.
    Cook sausage enough to get grease out so that you can spread easily and evenly.
    Sprinkle sausage onto dough.
    Roll dough jelly roll fashion.
    Starting from the long end, cut in 1/2-inch slices.
    Place on greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
