Gumdrop Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. gumdrops, cut in pieces
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. butter
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 1/2 c. sweetened apple juice
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves (allspice)
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 tsp. hot water
    1 1/2 c. raisins
    1 1/2 c. nuts
    1/2 c. almonds
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add 2 cups flour, spices, eggs and soda.
    Sift 2 cups flour over fruit and gumdrops.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Bake 2 hours in large angel food pan at 350\u00b0.
