Christmas Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 lb. margarine
    6 eggs, beaten
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 oz. lemon extract
    1 lb. chopped dates
    1 lb. chopped candied cherries (1/2 red and 1/2 green)
    1 qt. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and margarine.
    Add eggs, flour, baking powder and lemon extract.
    Mix dates, cherries and pecans with 1 cup sifted flour and add.
    Bake 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
    Makes a large cake.
