Baked Lima Beans(From 1975 Edition) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. dried limas (soak overnight)
    1 lb. bacon, cut fine
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 pt. catsup
    2 large onions, minced
Preparation
    Cover beans with cold water; bring to a boil and cook 15 to 20 minutes.
    Drain.
    In large roasting pan, place layers of beans and bacon-sugar-onion mixture.
    Add catsup and cold water almost to cover.
    Bake for 4 hours at 325\u00b0.
    Stir after 1 hour and add salt to taste.
    Do not stir again.
    Serves 25.
