Fig Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. fig preserves
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. plus 3 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients and pour into lightly greased loaf pan. Bake 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
