Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. milk
    1 c. raisins
    1 egg, separated
Preparation
    Mix
    flour,
    baking
    powder,
    salt
    and
    sugar.
    Cut in butter.
    Add raisins and milk.
    Fold in one stiffly beaten egg white.
    Turn onto floured board and roll about 1/2-inch thick. Beat egg yolk and add 1 teaspoon water.
    Brush over top.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown.
