Nine Day Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 med. cabbage, shredded
    2 stalks celery, diced
    2 med. onions, diced
    1 carrot, diced
    1 green pepper, diced
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. salad oil
    1 c. cider vinegar
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine cabbage, celery, onions, carrot and green pepper.
    Add 2 cups sugar and blend well.
    Bring remaining ingredients to a boil and pour over cabbage mixture immediately and allow to cool. Cover and store in refrigerator.
    Slaw will stay fresh and crisp for 9 days.
