Orange Sliced Candy Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine (2 sticks)
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in buttermilk
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    1 (8 oz. size) box dates, cut in small pieces
    1 lb. orange slice candy, cut in small pieces
    1 can grated coconut (approximately 1 c.)
    2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Use 1 cup flour over dates and candy.
    Cream margarine and sugar well.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Add buttermilk and mix well.
    Add flour, candy, nuts, dates and coconut.
    Cook in a tube pan at 250\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
