Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 lb. butter
    3 c. applesauce
    3 tsp. soda
    3 tsp. cinnamon
    3 tsp. allspice
    3 tsp. nutmeg
    5 to 6 c. self-rising flour
    1/3 pkg. seedless raisins
    6 c. chopped pecans
    6 eggs
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add well beaten eggs.
    Mix soda with applesauce, add to first mixture.
    Sift spices with flour.
    Add to other mixture.
    When mixed well add nuts and raisins (makes a stiff batter).
    Pour in 2 tube pans.
    Put in oven about 200\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Increase to 300\u00b0.
    Cook around 2 1/2 hours more.
    Makes 2 cakes, about 4 pounds each.
