Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground chuck or beef
    2 c. kidney beans
    2 c. liquid from beans plus water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 to 3 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Brown meat and onion in oil.
    Stir to break meat in bite size pieces.
    Drain excess fat.
    Cover and cook 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Add water, if needed.
