Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 to 12 medium cucumbers, sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
4 c. vinegar
4 c. sugar
1/2 c. salt
1 1/3 tsp. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
Preparation

Place cucumbers and onions in a gallon jar.
Mix all other ingredients cold.
Pour over cucumbers.
Fill to 1 inch of top. Put lid on tight.
Let stand for 5 days before eating.
Keep in refrigerator.
