Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 medium cucumbers
    8 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. mixed pickle spices
    5 tsp. salt
    4 c. cider vinegar
Preparation
    Cover whole cucumbers with boiling water.
    Allow to stand until next day.
    Drain.
    Repeat this procedure on the next 3 mornings.
    On the 5th day, drain cucumbers and slice 1/2-inch slices.
