Scalloped Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. chicken (whole)
    carrots
    onions, sliced
    salt and pepper
    poultry seasoning
    1 1/2 loaves 2 day old bread
    6 scallions
    2 ribs celery
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. sifted flour
    1 c. milk
    4 slightly beaten eggs
    1 c. dry bread crumbs
Preparation
    Put chicken in 2 quarts boiling water with carrots, onions and 2 teaspoons salt.
    Cook slowly until tender and the meat leaves the bones.
