Grandma Cannon'S Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
    1 heaping Tbsp. Crisco shortening
    1/4 c. white Karo syrup
    1 c. heavy or whipping cream
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Stir and cook the first 5 ingredients until soft ball stage, then add the salt and vanilla.
    Remove from heat.
    Let set until warm.
    Beat with mixer until fudge loses its shine.
    Add the nuts. Pour into buttered pan.
    Refrigerate.
