Granny'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. softened butter
    1 c. milk
    5 eggs
    1/4 tsp. ground mace
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. lemon extract
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    Pinch of Salt
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening, and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine dry ingredients; add dry ingredients and milk alternately to creamed mixture beating after each addition.
    Add flavoring and mace.
    Spoon batter into a greased and waxed paper-lined 10 inch tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat, and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
    Cool.
    Remove from pan.
