Lafayette'S Onion Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 to 6 strips bacon
2 Tbsp. butter
1 c. sour cream
2 Tbsp. chives, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. onions, finely chopped
3 medium eggs
1/4 c. heavy sweet cream
dash of black pepper
Preparation

Cook bacon until crisp and drain.
Saute onions in butter over medium heat until soft and translucent, stirring constantly.
Beat eggs and combine with onions, sour cream, sweet cream, chives, salt and pepper.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Pour filling mixture into pie crust in pan. Crumble bacon on top.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown and custard sets so that the tip of a knife inserted into it comes out clean.
Serve hot or cold.
