Irish Soda Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. butter or margarine
2 c. seedless raisins
1 1/3 c. buttermilk
1 egg
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Sift together the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
Cut in butter.
Stir in raisins.
Combine buttermilk, egg and baking soda.
Stir buttermilk mixture into flour mixture until just moistened, then divide into 2 round loaves and place on cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
