Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water or broth
    2 c. cut broccoli
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    In saucepan, combine water (or broth), onion and broccoli. Bring to boil.
    Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 minutes.
    Place half of mixture in blender; cover and blend until smooth.
    Pour in bowl; repeat with remaining mixture or if you want a chunky soup, just pour in bowl with first batch.
    Set aside.
    In saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Add milk all at once.
    Cook and stir until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
    Stir in vegetables; mix.
    Cook and stir until soup is heated through. Season to taste with additional salt and pepper.
    (Try this recipe using a different vegetable such as potatoes, asparagus, etc.)
