Hill Country Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 slices bacon
    5 to 7 c. torn leaf lettuce
    3 green onions, chopped
    2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cook bacon until crisp; drain, reserving 1/4 cup drippings. Crumble bacon and set aside.
    Place lettuce in a large bowl; sprinkle with onion, vinegar, sugar and salt.
    Drizzle reserved bacon drippings over greens, tossing gently.
    Sprinkle with bacon and serve immediately.
