Bunuelos - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. milk
1/4 c. butter, melted
enough shortening or fat to fry them
cinnamon and sugar, combined in big salt shaker
Preparation

Sift together the flour, baking powder and sugar.
Combine beaten eggs and milk.
Fold in dry ingredients.
Knead dough on floured board as you do for bread.
Make into small balls.
Roll out as thin as you can (stretch them a little more by hand just before you put them in frying pan).
Fry in hot shortening about 1 minute on each side or until light brown.
Prick with fork as you fry them.
Take out.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon while still hot.
