Mom'S Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 egg (unbeaten)
    1 c. molasses
    1 tsp. salt
    4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine first 7
    ingredients
    and
    beat
    until\tsmooth. Sift flour and soda together.
    Add half of the flour to Crisco mixture and blend.\tBlend in buttermilk.
    Add remaining flour. Mix well. Measure out
    level\ttablespoons of dough on Crisco-coated baking sheet.
    Flatten
    cookies by stamping with a flat bottom glass covered with sugar.
    Bake
    in 350\u00b0 oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Yields:
    6 1/2 dozen.
