Oatmeal-Nut Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. oatmeal
    3/4 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. light brown sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 egg
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    1/2 c. chopped pecans, shredded carrots or zucchini
Preparation
    Mix well oatmeal, flour, sugar, soda, salt and baking powder. Cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
    Beat together egg and buttermilk; pour over flour mixture.
    Add nuts. Stir just until dry ingredients are moist.
    Spoon into 12 greased muffin tins.
