Crisp Pickle Slices(Bread And Butter) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. sliced medium cukes
2 green peppers, chopped
1/3 c. coarse medium salt
6 medium white onions, sliced
3 cloves garlic
5 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
3 c. cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation

Combine the first 5 ingredients; cover with cracked ice or ice cubes.
Mix thoroughly.
Let stand 3 hours; drain thoroughly. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over cucumbers, onions and peppers.
Heat just to boil.
Seal in hot, sterilized jars. Yield:
5 pints.
